"Magic Newspaper? Voice of Freedom? What the hell are you talking about..."
Rui Bartley emerged from the Mercenary Guild with a greatsword over his shoulder, looking baffled.
"It's Champion Sorcerer Annan's latest invention!" Standing on a cart, West waved a Magic Newspaper to catch the attention of Professionals coming and going from the Mercenary Guild.
"Seriously?" Rui Bartley, who had been about to leave, turned back.
He had Love for The Mage Tower's Fall. Betar's Redemption had been all right too. But what the hell was Annan Potter and the Magic Stone? He, Rui Bartley the Great Bear, was supposed to spend two hours watching a bunch of children go to school?
Though if he ever met that sour-faced Professor Snape, he would give him a good beating...
"Of course. Want a copy?"
"Still not buying." Rui Bartley bared his fanglike teeth. "I can't read."
"Only one Silver Coin! And just like a Magic Film, you can watch it with your eyes and hear it with your ears."
"Really?"
"Really."
"Take my money!"
He, Rui Bartley the Great Bear, carried the Magic Newspaper he had snatched up back to his room at the tavern. He slapped the wall, sending dust trickling down, and told the people next door to keep it down. Then, following the merchant's instructions, he tore off a corner of the Magic Newspaper.
"Long time no see. I'm your presenter, Evelyn..."
A crisp woman's voice came out of the thin sheet of paper. Rui Bartley rubbed his eyes with thick fingers that could crush an enemy's skull.
"That's Rose's voice! Oh, my Rose..."
