[Orcs are the race Sorcerers find least appealing, whether they're brown-skinned or green-skinned and shouting "Waaagh!" The males and females of the former look almost identical. A father looks like his daughter. You wouldn't want to climb into your lover's bed for a little fun and find her father there, would you? The latter have no sex and aren't even animals. I once saw a Greenskin Orc drop from the fruit of a twisted, misshapen tree. Could you accept a piece of fruit as your partner? And then there's their stench and protruding tusks... If you like kissing, Orcs aren't the right choice.]
[Many races adore Elves, and we're no exception, but we don't adore them quite that much... They're beautiful, certainly—so beautiful that "elf" has become a compliment in its own right. But in one way or another, they're too much like humans. They lack the exotic appeal Sorcerers enjoy. Sometimes, though, they can offer the most wonderful contrast: an Elf who is proud and aloof before everyone else may be desperate to cling to you. Elves are also the race most faithful in love. Nothing but death can part you. But we must admit that we are not long-lived. To them, a human's sweeping, troubled lifetime is like watching a babbling child run out to play in the morning and return at dusk as a tottering elder with a cane. And an Elf's devotion means she may spend the thousand years that follow without seeking another partner. She might even die of grief, or follow you in death.
