Soluman Copperbeard and Andrew Luna arrived at the Church.

“Dwarf, stay outside.” The Church Guards stopped them at the steps.

Soluman Copperbeard stopped without surprise and let Andrew Luna go in.

Andrew Luna entered the Church and followed the nun to the waiting room.

Michael, who had been closer, had already arrived and was standing beside Annan.

Seeing that Annan was still conscious, Andrew Luna relaxed slightly. "How are you?"

"Not good..." Annan lowered his eyes. "The treatment cost five Gold Narls..."

Ever since becoming a Sorcerer, his expenses seemed to have ballooned beyond reason.

Annan missed the carefree days when a few Copper Coins were enough to explore all of Pinglin Town.

"Copperbeard said you were attacked?"

But Annan looked fine. A treatment fee of five Gold Coins... probably some nonfatal cuts.

"A gang of thugs attacked me on the Street and severed a tendon in my arm." Annan raised his arm, now fully healed by Divine Arts and no longer painful. "I thought Breeze City was safe. I didn't expect them to dare attack even a Sorcerer."

He almost wished they had just robbed him... He only had a few Silver Coins on him anyway.

"This has nothing to do with public safety. They were after you," Michael, who had been silent until now, suddenly said.

Annan and Andrew Luna both turned to him. Annan asked, "Why do you say that?"

"You really don't know?" Michael gave Annan an odd look.

"Know what?"

"Are you feeling better?" Nun's approach brought their discussion to a halt.

Her lavish Nun's habit, trimmed with gold thread, reminded Annan of the money he had lost on treatment. "I'm still a little sad."

"It's all right, young Sorcerer. Divine Arts can make you happy," Nun said considerately.
