Annan needed Lemon's help to climb into the Carriage, but its height suited the towering Skeleton Duke perfectly. He took one last look in a certain direction before stepping aboard. Strange Tales City was probably that way.
Soulfire blazed in the skeletal horses' eye sockets as they set off through the Forest on bony hooves.
At first, Annan worried they would crash into a tree, especially when they charged straight toward one without swerving... But the speeding Carriage suddenly slipped halfway into the void and passed through the trees and undergrowth.
