At dusk, the Skeleton Horse Carriage stopped before the Graveyard.
In the last light of sunset, the Skeleton King gazed at the layers of trees to the south and sighed. "Strange Tales City has spread another half kilometer outward..."
Only six days had passed since their last visit.
"Can no one stop it...?"
"As far as I know, the Southern Kingdoms are still discussing it."
Politicians always loved discussions—they could do nothing and still look busy.
"Is it still safe here?"
The Strange Tales Zone had expanded another half kilometer, bringing it that much closer to their hiding place in the Graveyard.

The Skeleton Horse Carriage vanished into nothingness. The stone door of the Tomb opened before the Skeleton King, and Annan followed him into the Graveyard.
The Skeleton King first cast Cleaning Spell, leaving the dust-covered Graveyard spotless. Then, to Annan's envy, Mage Hand lifted a Magic Lamp onto the wall before arranging their supplies neatly on the shelves.
He wasn't just a clean freak. He was compulsive about order, too.
Just then, a low rumble sounded through the Graveyard.
The Skeleton King looked at Annan. "Hungry?"
"Yeah..."
Annan had eaten almost nothing since yesterday's banquet.
The Skeleton King took out a pile of alchemical products that looked like ingredients and began cooking them in a brand-new Cauldron... They really were ingredients.
"You can cook?"
"Cooking isn't all that different from alchemy."
"Fresh plants, processed plants, fresh flesh, processed flesh. Mix them together, stir, simmer, add minerals and juices... One gives you an alchemical product, the other gives you food."
Annan felt there was something wrong with that, but the Skeleton King really was a good cook.
