Annan had thought they would have so much to say when they met again...
The battle at Snow Mountain Fortress had changed Tasia. She no longer poured out her restless thoughts to weeds, mountain flowers, and streams as she once had. She had grown quiet, while Brino Jana was a battle fanatic through and through.
But that was all right. As Tasia had said, once the war ended, they would return to Free City. They would have plenty of time to appreciate the beauty of the world.
"If you have nothing to do, come help me with something."
Brino Jana stared at Annan, who had nothing to say but did not want to leave.
"What is it?"
“Take us back to the Snow Mountains.”
At her words, the Jana People around the training ground turned to look at Annan.
Annan was no longer the green young lord who grew embarrassed whenever people stared at him. "Why me?" he asked.
Brino Jana sighed. “Do you think I know anyone else?”
Annan was the only person with any hope of taking them back to the Snow Mountains.
"I'll try, but I don't know when..."
His idea of taking Free City back to visit Star-Moon Bay was still just that—an idea.
“That's fine. All I need is your promise. After this battle, the Jana Family will go to your city too.”
"So could you all stop saying things like that..."
"Oh, right. One more thing. I saw people from the Laurencet Family earlier. They should be somewhere in the city."
"Got it."
The Old Housemaster and the Laurencet Family had left Breeze City before the mass exodus. Annan had no plans to see him; their positions were no longer equal.
Besides, he could already imagine how that hot-tempered Old Housemaster would mock him,
