A scarlet Flesh Maggot, barely a third the size of a fingernail, looked just like a ladybug.
It spread its wings and beat them furiously, flying out of a patch of light and shadow from the Primordial Era.
Once outside, it became clear that the entire Ruins still looked as they always had. As long as no one touched those patches of light and shadow, they would not be trapped in ancient times.
The Flesh Maggot rested a moment, then spread its wings again and flew with all its might toward the cave entrance.
It flew with extreme care, avoiding the Cultivators exploring the Ruins, the other patches of light and shadow, and the mechanisms that worked only when they felt like it.
At last—
It flew out of the Ruins and shot into the sky, gathering speed until it left the Three Realms behind.
Within the Ancient God's boundless body of flesh...
Everything was on the verge of decay.
The Flesh Maggot reached a wall of flesh and plunged straight in.
A moment later.
Twisted tentacles rapidly spread from its hiding place, writhing as they emitted a strange frequency.
Other tentacles soon surfaced from within the wall of flesh.
They had already gone stiff and dead, but when the Flesh Maggot's tentacles wrapped around them, they soon came back to life.
Every organ in the Ancient God Body stopped decaying.
Flesh churned wildly.
An exceedingly well-hidden chamber of flesh appeared.
Only then did the Flesh Maggot slowly transform into a giant figure.
The Ancient God!
The Ancient God from the Primordial Era had pierced the barrier of time and arrived in this age.
The Ancient God of this age had already "perished together" with the Universe.
And so, the Ancient God from the Primordial Era took control
