A Few Words Before Release

The book goes on sale tomorrow, and I'm filled with a hundred different feelings.

My last book was a struggle. Some problems in real life had no solution, and writing the later chapters became incredibly hard. It was only when Gu Qingshan found me and stepped in to take over the worldbuilding that I managed to finish it at all. Several times, I sat down to write an afterword, but each time, shame made me give up.

Life demands that we move forward and grow. We have to get back on our feet and keep walking.

So, being made of iron as I am (if I may praise myself), I started this book. Building on my earlier works, I wanted to tell a better story. I hoped to grow as a writer and give everyone a better reading experience.

Of course, this book's setting and background are independent and entirely new. It has nothing to do with any of my previous books.

I began posting this book on November 12. It's been a month and roughly 200,000 words, and I don't know how well I've done. That's for you, my dear readers, to judge.

But I'll work hard on every chapter, keep learning and absorbing more of the craft, and strive to move one pawn forward each day. In time, I'll make progress.

It's all for the sake of creating a good book.

I want to thank Blue Light, May, and Qidian for giving me a place to set out my bowl.

And thank you, my dear readers, for your tremendous support. Without you, this book would never have made it this far.

(A sudden turn of events:)
