Shen Bing's voice came over the phone. "Chief, I'm not hiding away and taking it easy! I've been working myself to the bone."
"When will that game of yours be ready?" the Chief asked.
Shen Bing fell silent for two seconds before replying, "Chief, the game is actually ready. But most of our company's production capacity is currently devoted to making robots. We're pushing hard on Game Pod production too, but it'll take some time to reach the numbers we're aiming for."
"But with the situation as it stands, we can't afford to wait any longer!" the Chief said. "Most countries can still keep things more or less under control, but unrest has already broken out in some smaller nations. Intelligent Robots affect the entire world, after all. If those smaller governments buckle and agree to their people's demands, the global situation could become even more chaotic. We might even see large-scale violent clashes."
Shen Bing hesitated. "Chief, are you suggesting we launch the game ahead of schedule?"
"If you can, that would certainly be better!" the Chief said. "If not, at least announce the game early to ease the public's concerns. It might bring some industries to a standstill, but that's still better than worldwide riots."
"All right, then!" Shen Bing said. "I'll make the preparations on my end. You'll have an answer by tomorrow at the latest."
"Then I'll be waiting for your good news," the Chief said. "Oh, and we've reached a decision on that list of technologies you gave me last time. Tomorrow, we'll bring together countries and companies from around the world for a fierce bidding contest to decide who gets those technologies. Of course, you can also take the opportunity to make a fortune. That money should help you expand your company's production capacity."
