Hua Long felt like he'd been royally screwed.
"Old Zhong, do you think that thing flying up there has anything to do with the dead monster? Master Qiao destroyed its remains. Could this big fellow be here to settle the score?" Hua Long asked bitterly.
Zhong Yuanchang gave a wry smile. "Who knows? But if this thing is responsible for the Protective Light Barrier's energy consumption, that means it's been here for several days. We still don't know why it hasn't broken through the barrier, but one thing's certain: we're safe for the time being."
Watching the enormous creature soaring around on the screen, Hua Long said, "Maybe! I can hardly imagine creatures this huge existing in the universe. I don't understand how its heart pumps blood all around its body. Every heartbeat must be equivalent to hundreds of high-powered water pumps running."
"Who knows? Maybe these things don't have blood or hearts."
"Yeah, that's possible!"
"What do we do now? It seems... aside from Stun Guns, we don't have a single heavy weapon here," Zhong Yuanchang said gloomily.
"Let's report to the boss first!" Hua Long said. "Maybe we can have Master Qiao come over and set up a Charged Particle Cannon. This thing's probably just big. One shot should finish it off."
"That's our only option."
Shen Bing was dumbfounded when he received the news.
Wasn't that planet supposed to be unsuitable for life? How could there be such an enormous monster there? Even though they had previously discovered a skeleton on the planet, they had mostly assumed it was "garbage" dumped by some passing alien fleet.
But according to Hua Long, this enormous creature was actually flying around outside the Protective Light Barrier. Didn't that mean it could survive on this planet?
If that was true,
