Because of the Heavenly Auspice Special Glass affair, Shen Bing hadn't had time that day to take Lu Xian to the factory to inspect the chip production equipment.
But now that the matter had finally been settled for the time being, he could devote his full attention to developing the company.
Just after four in the afternoon, Shen Bing had Li Xiao drive him and Lu Xian to the factory grounds.
Once they arrived, Shen Bing went straight to the Dust-Free Workshop with Lu Xian without another word.
There were eleven machines in all, and Lu Xian began inspecting them one by one.
Within a few minutes, Lu Xian said, "Boss, these things are made with much greater precision than your car."
No fucking kidding! No matter how luxurious a sports car was, its precision couldn't compare with equipment like a photolithography machine. That held true even for domestically manufactured photolithography machines.
"Can you optimize them?" Shen Bing asked.
"I can," Lu Xian said, "but if I optimize them too much, their Driver software probably won't be compatible anymore."
Shen Bing had already anticipated that. Lu Xian's abilities lay in machining components; software was beyond Lu Xian's expertise.
But Shen Bing wasn't concerned. This set of chip production equipment was the most advanced domestically manufactured equipment available, with a 45 nm process—far behind the best foreign equipment. Still, it also had enormous room for improvement.
Lu Xian could improve the physical hardware and greatly increase its operating precision. Even if the equipment's own technological bottlenecks prevented it from reaching the very highest level, producing chips with a 10 nm process would be no problem.
As for the operating system, that wasn't much of a technical hurdle. Shen Bing could either ask Commander Gao to find a way to get him
