Before the attribute description appeared, Shen Bing received a system notification.
"Congratulations! You have obtained a mutant life-form pet! Please rename your pet to complete the final step of the Master Recognition Protocol."
Shen Bing looked utterly bewildered.
That works too? If I teleport a living person like this, could I trigger the Master Recognition Protocol on them as well? This is practically cheating.
But after thinking it over, Shen Bing dismissed the idea.
Not worth it!
He had Subconscious Implantation Technology at his disposal, and for more demanding cases, he could buy a Beast-Subjugation Talisman from the Immortal Realm. That would solve the problem for a hundred or so immortal jade, whereas sending Venom into his inventory and back out cost over a thousand. The choice was obvious.
"Venom!" Shen Bing formally named the creature.
Mutant life-form (Venom): Passively absorbs heaven and earth energy to strengthen itself. Specializes in mental power control. (Innate skill 1: Dual Immunity. Physical and magical attacks are ineffective. Innate skill 2: Shapeshifting. Can render its body invisible and intangible, passing through any ordinary matter. Can freely alter its body's hardness, toughness, and other properties. Innate skill 3: Immortality. As long as its energy lasts, its life endures.)
As Shen Bing read Venom's attributes, he began to tremble.
Holy shit!
Whatever its offensive capabilities might be, its ability to stay alive was certainly first-rate.
Dual Immunity alone would leave the vast majority of ability users helpless against it, while Shapeshifting allowed it to escape in most situations.
Shapeshifting still had considerable limitations, though. Take the glass container from earlier: the creature could only escape by smashing it, because its surface had been coated with a layer of dark matter.
That dark matter had originally been intended to prevent Venom's mental power
