"Let's go! This isn't the place to talk," Shen's Father said. "Commander Gao probably has something to discuss with our son."
Mom had no objection.
Shen Bing knew perfectly well that his parents had always kept their concern for him hidden deep inside.
When he had been kidnapped at the beginning of the year, Mom had rushed back from abroad the moment she heard, even though his safety had already been confirmed.
They had claimed they had had their fill of traveling, but in truth, they had wanted to come back and see him as soon as possible.
This time was much the same. News of the attack on him in London was all over the internet, and his parents were probably worried.
By the time the news reached home, however, he was probably already on the flight from Paris to Rongcheng. Unable to reach him by phone, they must have learned through Commander Gao that he would soon be returning to Rongcheng, so they had waited outside the airport.
At that thought, Shen Bing grew a little puzzled. How had his parents gotten in touch with Commander Gao?
"Dad, Mom, go on home first. I do have something to discuss with Commander Gao," Shen Bing said after some thought. Though he did not consider the matter urgent, it was important at the national level.
His father glanced at his mother and said, "We'll wait outside. You probably won't take long."
"All right!" Shen Bing said. "Li Xiao, take my parents to the car. Yun Xue, Yuan Wei, you two go too."
Once they had left, Commander Gao spoke first. "Come on, let's talk inside."
As he spoke, Commander Gao pointed to a VIP lounge.
Shen Bing knew this really was no place to discuss confidential matters, so he followed
