Accepting payment only in Chinese yuan was, in a sense, asking the impossible. After all, in some countries, people could not even get their hands on Chinese yuan. That approach simply would not work.
That was without even mentioning that the vast majority of countries did not allow foreign currencies to circulate domestically.
Dragon Scale Security Software currently had a full two billion overseas users, a staggering number.
Yet Phantom Immortal Technology was now ignoring those consumers and demanding payment in Chinese yuan instead. Was it preparing to abandon them?
Unfavorable rumors began spreading online. Some said Phantom Immortal Technology had grown arrogant and no longer cared about its users; others said Shen Bing had lost his mind and made an utterly foolish move.
Shen Bing had already received several calls in succession, all asking why he had made such a decision.
Of course, anyone who could call Shen Bing directly knew him very well, including Wang Bo, Sun Li, and Gao Jingchuan.
Old Yang had not called, since he was already part of Phantom Immortal Technology and currently worked in the Network Department.
Shen Bing had originally intended to appoint Old Yang as the Network Department's manager outright, but Old Yang had declined for the time being, saying he needed to familiarize himself with Phantom Immortal Technology's business.
No matter who asked, however, Shen Bing merely smiled it off and said the company had its own arrangements.
Now, though, Shen Bing received another call, one that surprised him somewhat. It was from Secretary Jiang.
"Shen, what on earth are you up to?" Secretary Jiang demanded.
Shen Bing played dumb. "What are you referring to, Secretary Jiang?"
"Quit playing dumb, you brat. What's going on with the pricing policy your company set for Dragon Scale Security Software?"
Shen Bing smiled.
