Every American agent involved in the operation had the same question.
When Shen Bing returned at noon yesterday, he had definitely entered his Presidential Suite and had never come out afterward. Yet now he had emerged from a public restroom on the same floor. It made no sense.
Had their eyes played tricks on them earlier? Had they missed Shen Bing leaving his room?
They immediately analyzed the surveillance footage from that period and were stunned to discover that a short segment really did have a problem. There was no recording for that stretch of time.
That left them unable to be certain.
But had Shen Bing spent the entire night in the restroom? That made no sense either.
The agents felt as though they were about to lose their minds. Everything was a mess, and they had no idea what was going on.
Of course, the most important thing was that Shen Bing had appeared, while they had been detained by the Seattle Police Department. What the hell were they supposed to do now? Lay their cards on the table with the Seattle police?
That would not work. They could not be certain how loyal or trustworthy these officers were. If any of them leaked the matter, even the president would have to step down.
They therefore had no choice but to suppress their restless impatience and watch helplessly as Shen Bing returned to his Presidential Suite.
