Shen Bing stared at the scene, momentarily dumbfounded.
Damn, this Demon Soul was actually afraid of dying?
The real problem is, what am I supposed to do if you run? Forget it! I'll chase you.
The scene on the screen became even more comical. A dim silhouette streaked away into the distance, while Shen Bing pursued it at a speed no slower than its own, occasionally firing a bolt of lightning at it.
As bolt after bolt shot out, Shen Bing discovered, to his utter frustration, that the lightning he summoned really was pathetically weak. Each attack did almost negligible damage to the Demon Soul.
More than ten minutes passed before a lightning strike finally dispersed the last trace of the Demon Soul's silhouette, and something resembling a heart dropped out of thin air.
Shen Bing let out a long breath.
"Damn, that was fucking harder than fighting a boss. It took almost twenty-odd minutes of grinding to kill it," Shen Bing couldn't help remarking.
When he thought back to the Heavenly Thunder Talisman he had used before, that had killed a Demon Soul in a single strike.
And even that Heavenly Thunder Talisman was leagues behind the Nine Heavens Divine Talisman he had bought from the Online Mall.
It seemed he still had a long, arduous road ahead of him in cultivation!
"Those guys in the Immortal Realm really aren't generous. Treating people to meals isn't even a thing there. If every God treated me to a few meals, I'd probably be a Golden Immortal by now."
Shen Bing couldn't help missing the meal Donghua Dijun had treated him to.

Shen Bing glanced at the two Demon Soul Hearts in his inventory, and his enthusiasm surged again.
These were the primary materials for
