"Based on the information Bunier submitted and the data Lu Xian sent back recently, I concluded that the research institute probably created this monster itself," Qiuqiu said.
Something occurred to Shen Bing, and he couldn't help asking, "Qiuqiu, are you saying the institute director we captured doesn't actually know much about this monster?"
The reasoning was simple. If the director really knew about it, Qiuqiu could have learned the whole story from his memories without needing Lu Xian's data as a reference.
Qiuqiu continued, "The current director was transferred here less than two years ago. His name is Clarence. His predecessor led the project that created the monster. According to Clarence's memories, that predecessor died at the monster's hands. He wasn't the only one killed, either. The monster ate everyone in charge of the research. By the time Clarence took over, the monster had already been locked in an iron cage. The research base's later breakthrough in Gene Warriors also owed something to that monster."

Qiuqiu said, "I only reached that conclusion after examining the blood sample data Lu Xian sent back. An analysis of its DNA showed that it was created by fusing the genes of multiple organisms. Normally, genes from different species are difficult to fuse, but that blood sample contained an unusual sequence between the gene sequences that actually allowed them to fuse perfectly. My preliminary analysis indicates that the monster incorporated characteristic genes from more than a dozen species, including humans, ants, rhinoceroses, red mantella frogs, and leeches. Its speed, strength, resistance to impacts, jumping ability, and regenerative capacity are all outstanding."
