It was like a massive bomb had been dropped into a lake, instantly sending enormous waves surging across it.
Beneath the news headline was a brief description: any citizen whose nationality was listed as American would be ineligible to use Cancer Cure No. 1 for the foreseeable future, even if they were currently living in another country.
Some people praised Shen Bing's decision to the skies, while others mocked him. Some even cursed and hurled abuse at him.
More people, however, simply didn't care.
As far as this particular decision was concerned, the only people directly affected were Americans.
Why would people from other countries care whether Shen Bing was willing to sell Cancer Cure No. 1 to the United States?
Those who mocked him were mostly people on poor terms with Huaxia or Phantom Immortal Technology, or at least people whom Phantom Immortal Technology had blacklisted. They, too, were worried about whether they would be eligible to use Cancer Cure No. 1. Many Americans were among them.
As for those cursing and hurling abuse, most were people originally from Huaxia.
That was hardly surprising, because those people now held American citizenship.
They had originally assumed that, since Phantom Immortal Technology had developed Cancer Cure No. 1, they would have nothing to worry about if they ever developed cancer, being people of Huaxia themselves. What they failed to realize was that, the moment they acquired American citizenship, they had ceased to be citizens of Huaxia, because Huaxia did not allow dual nationality.
What did that mean? It meant they could no longer enjoy Phantom Immortal Technology's preferential policies for the people of Huaxia. Worse still, because they had become American citizens, they were no longer even eligible to use Cancer Cure No. 1.
Some regretted immigrating to the United States.
