Shen Bing stayed overnight in Qingyuan City. It wasn't that he wanted to. Gao Jingchuan was the sort who wouldn't commit until he saw results, and he insisted that Shen Bing mix a bottle of Potion and prove it worked before signing the contract.
Neither wanted to delay, so Shen Bing bought the ingredients that night, successfully mixed a Potion, and found an ordinary Black-Backed Shepherd at a kennel to test it on.
What happened next went without saying. Gao Jingchuan was so excited his eyes nearly popped out.
They had to sign the contract. Now. Immediately.
Shen Bing was already on his way back to Rongcheng with the contract, signed and stamped by both parties. He whistled happily as he traveled.
Three years of tax exemption—and it covered every tax.
Shen Bing had only asked for a one-year tax exemption. He couldn't take the government for too much, after all. In exchange, he would sell the formula to the Military, which would have no right to interfere with his continued use of the Potion or his handling of the formula afterward.
But the Potion's effects were so extraordinary that word reached the leadership overnight.
After watching a video Gao Jingchuan had recorded himself, they decided without a moment's hesitation to buy exclusive rights to the formula and bar Shen Bing from using or selling it again.
In return, the tax exemption grew to three years.
Damn, where else could he find a deal like that?
Never mind three years. Just six months later, Rongcheng's officials, great and small, would bitterly regret agreeing to the Military's request so readily.
But that was still to come. For now, both sides were delighted.
The only thing Shen Bing found frustrating was that Shen's Father had barely said a word throughout the negotiations
