Bunier wore a conflicted expression, unsure whether to laugh or cry.
Sure, once he knew the answer, it seemed simple enough. But the problem was that he couldn't see dark matter. What was he supposed to do about that?
He wasn't the only one. No one in the world currently knew what dark matter actually was.
Suddenly, Bunier looked at Master Qiao suspiciously. "Master Qiao, how did you know that the Deep-Sea Fish Oil extracted from Mariana Lionfish contains dark matter?"
Master Qiao said calmly, "That statement is wrong!"
Bunier froze. "How is it wrong?"
"Dark matter exists everywhere in this world, in even greater quantities than Ordinary Matter," Master Qiao said. "Like Ordinary Matter, it comes in many different forms, with a far more intricate and complex system of composition. You just said that the Deep-Sea Fish Oil extracted from that lionfish contains dark matter. That's incorrect, because the Deep-Sea Fish Oil you synthesized also contains dark matter. It's just that the dark matter in the two is different. The kind in the former is what you need."
Now Bunier and the others understood completely.
But... his original question still hadn't been answered.
"How... did you discover all this?" Bunier asked again, worried that Master Qiao was pulling the wool over his eyes.
Master Qiao gave him a sidelong glance. "Of course I saw it with my eyes."
Bunier had been ready to immerse himself in an explanation of some profound theory. Instead, he got that one sentence and nearly choked.
After a long moment, Bunier swallowed. "Master Qiao, your eyes can see dark matter?"
When Master Qiao nodded in confirmation, two thoughts circled through Bunier's mind:
This guy is definitely treating me like an idiot.
Or should I gouge his eyes out and study them?
Shen Bing coughed,
