Just as Secretary Jiang and the others were about to challenge Shen Bing's claim, Shen Bing said leisurely, "However... if you really want delivery within two months... I do have a way."
"What way?" Director Liu asked at once.
He could hardly afford not to care!
If these had been ordinary intelligent robot soldiers, Director Liu would not have minded buying a few first to see how they performed.
But now Shen Bing had presented the more appealing remote-controlled robots. Although these were more reassuring to use than intelligent robots, they had one drawback: coordination between the operator and the robot.
To bring out a robot's full advantages, its operator would have to keep training with it until they worked smoothly together. That would take time.
Just because the world seemed peaceful now did not mean there was nothing to worry about.
That might have been true before, but Phantom Immortal Technology's rise over the past year had already made the Americans feel threatened. Who knew what trouble a change in the world's dominant power might stir up?
Unless the new dominant power acquired enough strength in an extremely short time to leave the old one in despair, war would be difficult to avoid.
Robot soldiers were one component of that strength.
Shen Bing smiled. "This is very simple for you. Just coordinate with the Resources Department to give our company preferential treatment in the quotas for these rare metals."
Director Liu turned to Secretary Jiang. There was little he could do about this himself; it would depend on whether Secretary Jiang could find a way.
Secretary Jiang found this a headache too.
His special status certainly allowed him to step in and coordinate many matters. But he really could not make any guarantees when it came to rare metals.
