The call came from a number that could not be displayed.
Only a handful of people could call Shen Bing this way, such as the Chief and those around him.
"Hello?"
"Little Shen, do you have time right now?" Secretary Jiang's voice came through the receiver.
Although Shen Bing could not see Secretary Jiang in person, he heard a note of gravity in the secretary's voice.
Shen Bing really wanted to say he had no time because he was busy gaming, but that seemed a little discouraging. Instead, he said, "Just tell me what you need, Secretary Jiang. I'm only the boss. How busy could I possibly be?"
"If you have time, please leave for Capital City immediately. The Chief and several other leaders would like to see you," Secretary Jiang said.
Shen Bing froze. What was going on?
In this day and age, did I really need to travel to Capital City just so they could see me? Had they never heard of video calls? With the Dragon Scale System's data security, there was no need to worry about hacking or leaks.
That was not the important part, though. This time, it was not just the Chief who wanted to see him. Secretary Jiang had said several leaders.
Shen Bing hesitated, then asked, "What's this about?"
"It isn't convenient to discuss over the phone," Secretary Jiang said. "You should come in person. If you're pressed for time, we can arrange a fighter jet. You'll be here in an hour or two. It won't hold you up for long."
Shen Bing's mouth twitched. This really did seem urgent. Otherwise, the people at the top would never have pressed him so hard.
He immediately said, "Never mind,
