The so-called Jade Pool was not a pool at all, but an enormous lake. All its palaces and towers stood above the lake, covering and concealing it until the lake itself became inconspicuous.
For Shen Bing, however, that was not the point right now.
The point was that he did not know how deep the Jade Pool was. Since he had never been to its bottom, he could not teleport directly there with a Teleportation Talisman.
Why did he want to teleport straight in? Obviously, he intended to snatch the Immortal Lotus Root and flee as quickly as possible.
