Of course, the spaceship going off course had been an accident, something neither the alien before him nor any of the other aliens knew about.
At least, nothing in the intelligence Shen Bing had searched out of this alien's mind mentioned it.
Aside from that, Shen Bing had found a few other things in the fellow's memories.
For instance, the miraculous halo through which the aliens had teleported.
Just as Shen Bing had suspected, it was a wormhole.
Humanity's theoretical deductions were also correct, or at least not far off. Wormholes could indeed be used to traverse space. As for time, however, using wormholes to travel through time was pure fantasy.
Time was unquestionably more mysterious than space.
According to certain theories, time would stand still once an object reached the speed of light, and might even flow backward if it exceeded that speed.
In reality, however, this supposed stopping and reversal of time amounted to nothing more than what the eye perceived. Everything within the same space was, in essence, still at the same point in time.
As for whether multidimensional or parallel spaces existed in this world, that was beyond Shen Bing's ability to investigate—at least for now.
All right, that was getting off track. Back to the wormhole on the moon.
In theory, a wormhole was a passage connecting a black hole and a white hole, with a black hole at one end and a white hole at the other.
The mysterious vortex that had appeared on the moon's surface could not possibly be either a black hole or a white hole. Otherwise, never mind the moon—even the Solar System could not continue to exist.
Then what exactly was this mysterious curtain of light?
According to the common knowledge in this alien's mind, extremely rare spatial singularities
