We still have our fleet, but don't warships use automated control systems too? Who can guarantee that the same method won't work against them? More importantly, its range is enormous. Last time, the Fighter Aircraft only crashed after circling over Gold Island. This time, things went wrong three hundred kilometers away. Three hundred kilometers! Unless we use missiles to sink Gold Island outright...”
Kleizer fell silent there. Nothing more needed to be said.
The missiles he meant were certainly not those carried by fighter jets. Even the F-22 had an attack range of only 190 kilometers. The Sea Eagle Fighter Aircraft was far more powerful than the F-22, but its attack range was still only 300 kilometers.
Yet the facts had already shown that the 300-kilometer mark could well be a death zone, effectively ruling the Fighter Aircraft out altogether.
The same went for bombers. Even strategic bombers, with their larger payloads, could not attack from much farther away because of the limitations of their fire-control systems.
That left only ship-launched cruise missiles or land-based missiles.
