Suosuo had every reason to worry! Although he was in charge of this Alien Base, he could accomplish little here without support from the Home Planet.
The simplest issue was their energy supply! Without it, they would all be finished before long. They did not need food to stay alive, but they did need energy.
Operating the base and using the three warships all required energy, too.
If he wanted control over more resources and to rise to a higher position, he needed to send a shipment back. Once they verified that the bodies of Earth's intelligent life forms really were compatible with Corgian brains, the Corgi Empire would resolve to turn this planet into its own breeding farm, no matter the cost. As the one spearheading this endeavor, his standing would naturally rise along with it.
"Have we extracted the intelligence from that president's brain?" Suosuo asked, suddenly remembering something.
Kugu said, "We've finished collecting the data. It's being organized now."
Suosuo nodded and said nothing more.
Previously, he had considered Gasen's disappearance and the captured robot two relatively minor matters. Their base had excellent defenses, but unexpected incidents were still possible. Now, however, nearly a thousand people had suddenly vanished right under his nose. That shattered everything he thought he knew.
At that moment, he realized that the Solar System they were in was probably not as simple as it appeared.
Unless they got to the bottom of this, they might well meet a tragic end, even if they considered themselves a superior race in the universe.
Just then, an alien hurried inside.
"Reporting, Commander-in-Chief! The person taken away just now has disappeared."
Had these aliens not been entirely mechanical apart from their brains, this fellow would probably have been gasping for breath.
Suosuo visibly froze for a
