As the scenery sped backward around him, Mu Yang maintained his high-speed flight. Before long, the slender form of Karin Tower came into view. As he approached Karin Tower, Mu Yang slowed down and landed at its base.
I should take out the sea fish first. Otherwise, it'll be hard to explain going up empty-handed to Korin. With that thought, Mu Yang swiftly opened Acceleration Space. One hundred and eighty neatly arranged baskets of sea fish immediately appeared in the clearing, spreading the distinctive fishy smell of seafood through the air.
Just then, sensing many people gathering around him, he turned and found the Indian tribe that guarded Karin Tower. The man at the front, holding a bow and arrow, was Os.
"Oh, you're the young man who challenged Karin Tower before, Mu Yang of the Tianxin Style." Os looked at him with puzzlement, especially when he saw the sea fish beside him that gave off such a strong odor. His confusion only deepened.
What was going on? Wasn't he supposed to be challenging Karin Tower? What did he mean by bringing so many sea fish here?
Mu Yang nodded to Os and the others. "Long time no see."
"These fish?"
Mu Yang smiled. "They're a gift I prepared for Karin the Immortal. Since you're here, could you help watch them for me? I'll be back shortly."
"A gift for Karin the Immortal..." Os froze briefly before finally reacting. He trembled as he asked, "Could it be... you've already met Karin the Immortal?"
"Yes, I climbed to the top of the tower and was fortunate enough to receive Karin the Immortal's guidance." Mu Yang smiled and nodded, openly admitting it.
"Congratulations. You actually climbed Karin Tower. Legend says no one has succeeded in a hundred years." Os was filled with awe. By now, he had completely regarded Mu Yang as a legendary martial artist.
As Os spoke with Mu Yang, the guardians behind him all widened their eyes and whispered among themselves.
"Is that true? He actually succeeded."
"This young man is truly extraordinary."
"I wonder what Karin the Immortal looks like. Too bad we aren't qualified to meet him..."
As guardians of the Sacred Land, these Indians had grown up listening to legends of Karin the Immortal. Yet, limited by their strength, they had never been able to meet him as they wished, much less glimpse his true appearance. Now that they heard the young man before them had actually climbed Karin Tower and met Karin the Immortal, every one of them wore an expression of envy and admiration.
Mu Yang laughed inwardly. Naturally, he would not reveal that Karin the Immortal was a large white cat. That would be far too much of a buzzkill. Everyone had dreams and placed their finest hopes in the softest corner of their hearts. Whether it was people, objects, or certain memories, only after being tempered by time did they become increasingly beautiful.
Perhaps such things were no longer real or objective, but they carried too much emotion and thus became especially precious. Rashly revealing the truth and shattering someone else's fantasy was deeply immoral.
After a brief thought, Mu Yang said, "Karin the Immortal is a very wise immortal. It was under his guidance that my strength improved by leaps and bounds."
Os nodded as if that were only natural, then pointed at the sea fish and asked, "How do you plan to carry all of these up?"
Climbing Karin Tower was already incredibly difficult. If he had to bring along several baskets of sea fish, it would only become harder.
"This is also a form of training, isn't it?" Mu Yang said with a smile. He then walked over to the baskets and casually lifted one under everyone's watchful gaze. The weight of nearly a ton pressed down on his arm. Mu Yang frowned, not because of the weight, but because of the overpowering fishy smell coming from the basket.
Then he stamped the tip of his foot. Bang! A violent force surged up from beneath his feet. Borrowing that force, Mu Yang shot into the air alone, rising straight up along the side of Karin Tower. He quickly vanished into the vast sky.
Below, Os and the others stood dumbfounded, staring blankly at the sky where the whirlwind had torn open a passage. Only after a long while did they recover, saying hoarsely, "As expected of someone who successfully challenged Karin Tower. He's truly too powerful."
"Don't you think he's even stronger than last time?"
As someone said this, the others came to their senses as well. That was right. When he had climbed Karin Tower a few months ago, he had not been this strong. In just over three months, he had become completely incomparable to his former self. Was this the power of Karin the Immortal?
At that thought, the guardians were all filled with immense envy... and a powerful longing to climb Karin Tower arose in their hearts. But once they considered the difficulty of climbing it, they could not help feeling discouraged.
Meanwhile, at the top of Karin Tower.
Korin was lying on a small reclining chair, dozing lightly. Suddenly, he sensed something. He flipped off the chair, propped himself up with his staff, and came to the entrance at the top of Karin Tower. Before long, he saw Mu Yang coming up with a huge basket of sea fish on his shoulder.
"These sea fish... there are so many."
Korin's nose was especially sensitive. He quickly identified them as ocean fish, grabbed one in his paw, and held it before his nose for a sniff. He immediately revealed an intoxicated expression. The fishy smell that others found unpleasant became delicious food to Korin.
Mu Yang smiled. "Karin the Immortal, this is only a small portion. There are another one hundred and seventy-nine batches of fish like this beneath Karin Tower."
Korin's eyes immediately lit up at his words, and he said happily, "Good, good, good! Mu Yang, you truly keep your promises."
"But Karin the Immortal, how do you plan to store all these fish?"
"Hm, that's a small matter. Come with me."
Korin grabbed a fish and placed it outside, then took the rest of the fish to the training ground on the second floor. He stopped before the Crystal Ball in the center and pointed at it. "Look at that Crystal Ball. It's a treasure passed down since ancient times. Karin Tower's stability relies on it."
As he spoke, Korin leaped up and brushed a paw across the Crystal Ball's surface. The crystal-clear sphere immediately shone with dazzling light. At the same time, all the sea fish on the ground vanished.
Korin narrowed his eyes and said, "This Crystal Ball has storage capabilities. Things placed inside won't spoil."
"What... a fine treasure!" Mu Yang stared in surprise. Earth truly had quite a few treasures. Karin Tower alone possessed Senzu Beans, Super Divine Water, the Crystal Ball, the Flying Nimbus, the Power Pole, and more. However, Korin had already given the Power Pole to Master Roshi as a gift.
"Hehe, Mu Yang, why don't you hurry up and carry up the fish beneath Karin Tower too? This is also a form of training."
Training was training, but why did it feel like you cared more about the fish?
Mu Yang could not help rolling his eyes, though he did not show it. He nodded and jumped down from Karin Tower. He went back and forth more than a hundred times. By the time he had carried up all the sea fish, it was already noon the next day.
