My Child's Belly Button Is Bleeding-Sorry to Ask for Leave

My child hadn't pooped since the fifth, and yesterday their belly button started bleeding. The doctor told us to keep an eye on it.

It was still bleeding today, so we took my child to the hospital. Our COVID test results had expired after forty-eight hours, and with it being the weekend, we were stuck at the hospital until now. So I have to ask for leave.

I'd reached the final stretch and should have pushed through in one breath, but instead I keep having to ask for leave every few days. I'm truly ashamed.
