In the Capital Region, a vast Formation had the Heaven-Worship Altar, the Divine Capital, and the Central Province Cauldron at its heart.
The Formation was immensely powerful and served many purposes—but none of that mattered.
What mattered was that the Mohist School had helped design it.
Though the Formation had not actually been built until after Di Jiazi destroyed the Hundred Schools of Thought, its design had begun before Great Xia was even founded.
Wen Chao, who designed the Formation, had held many discussions with masters of the Mohist School and the Yin-Yang School. They traded insights, sparked ideas, and refined the vast Formation they intended to name "Glorious Age Capital."
Times changed, and Wen Chao, the Mohist School, and the Yin-Yang School all fell. Yet the Formation remained, and it was still, more or less, the design they had drawn up back then.
Portions of those plans had survived in both the Mohist School and the Yin-Yang School.
Both schools had long dreamed of using them to break the Formation one day and demand justice from the Di Lineage and Great Xia!
Now was the time to put those plans to use.
More than a dozen small Formations were deployed inside the great Formation. They would not attack it, but they would slow its response and weaken its counterattacks against "outside threats."
Before, the great Formation could have stopped every demon, Devil, and monster. Now it would stop only those that were powerful and harmful, while turning a blind eye to the weak or harmless.
That, too, was part of the original design. If the Formation suffered serious damage and lost effectiveness, it would scale back its functions and narrow its targets, shifting from "stop everything" to "maintain safety." That provision had been proposed by the Mohist School's predecessors.
