"What exactly are you trying to do?" Tian Shun'er asked as he tossed the enormous severed head to Luo Qian. Luo Qian chuckled. "Fishing." "Fishing?" Tian Shun'er was more baffled than ever.
Fishing did not necessarily require a rod, but it did require bait. That enormous worm head was the bait. Luo Qian had noticed that Head Worms often strengthened themselves by sucking out an opponent's brain fluid. And now he had just such a head in his hands.
The newly born Head Worm was cunning beyond measure. Hidden beneath the slime lake, it was hard for anyone's Magic Treasures to reach it. Golden light flashed beside Luo Qian, and the imposing Golden-Armored Automaton Number One appeared. It understood what Luo Qian wanted. The worm head was enormous, large enough to contain its entire body. Obediently, it crawled in through the neck, squeezing out a mass of bloody pulp. The sound made even Tian Shun'er wince. Hua Shiwei asked, "Young Master Luo, what exactly are you doing?"
Luo Qian casually tossed the worm head into the slime lake. With the Golden-Armored Automaton inside it, the head bobbed twice, then sank.
The object falling from above startled the worms at the bottom of the lake. Those nearby scattered at once, but after waiting a long while, they saw no movement from it. The worms shared a special mental connection, and word soon reached the Head Worm. It swam over and recognized the previous Head Worm's head at a glance.
But it was far more cunning than an ordinary worm and dared not approach lightly. That head had vanished last night. Why had it suddenly appeared here?
