The Nine Yang Spirit Grades were exceedingly complex. They depended on the purity and power of the Yang Spirit True Fire—the power of Laws—that one touched when Yin Exhaustion, Yang Emergence occurred. That fire determined the grade of the Yang Spirit True Body one forged.

Grades seven, eight, and nine were Low Grade. The Yang Fire they drew in was mixed and impure. Such Yang Spirit True Persons had no future prospects: no matter what they did, they could never set foot on the higher path to True Immortality. They could only cultivate killing arts such as Primordial Spirit Dharma Bodies!

Grades four, five, and six were Middle Grade. The Yang Spirit True Fire they touched was pure, but it belonged to lesser paths of the Heavenly Secrets. They had a chance to reach higher realms of cultivation, though going much farther was already impossible.

Only grades one, two, and three were High Grade. They drew upon the Heavenly Secrets of the Supreme Great Dao. Their futures were vast, and they could hope to glimpse the realm of Earth Immortals, perhaps even Heavenly Immortals...

What was more, the gulf between individual grades was enormous. Dividing them into High, Middle, and Low was hardly the whole story.

One could even say that every grade stood worlds apart from the next.

High-Grade Yang Spirits could appear only within the Nine Great Immortal Sects, because those sects held the nine Supreme Great Daos currently known in the Eastern Glory World.

But cultivating a High-Grade Great Dao did not guarantee that one would forge a High-Grade Yang Spirit True Body.

It also depended on one's natural gifts, Fortune, aptitude, talent, opportunities, and much else.

All in all, the saying held true: no Rogue Cultivator attained High Grade, and no disciple of the Immortal Sects
