Bang!
The little boy's head made intimate contact with Moor's leg and flew off at once. It struck a building in the distance, then bounced across the ground.
"It hurts."
The little boy's head seemed to find Moor's kick genuinely unbearable. As he cried out and closed his eyes, a stream of bloody tears ran down his face.
At the sight of those tears, Moor felt a sudden stab in his eyes. Something sticky splashed onto his face, and his vision turned crimson.
He hurriedly wiped his face, trying to get the sticky liquid off. His hand came away covered in blood.
The next instant, a tremendous force struck him square in the face. A sharp tip caught him on the nose, sending blood gushing from it.
Then, with a crack, his head separated from his body, and the crimson world before his eyes went black.
"No!"
Moor screamed. Suddenly, the world around him looked familiar again.
A cramped room. A roof blackened with mildew. A bed and quilt that felt damp even in summer.
Isn't this my home?
I'm back?
Moor pinched his face, felt his bed, then slapped his right cheek.
Smack...
"It's real. I really am back."
The Dream World forbade anyone from harming others, even themselves. He had no idea how those terrifying monsters had broken that restriction, but he wasn't a monster.
After his initial joy faded, worry crept in. "Why are there monsters in the world the god created? I wonder if I'll still be able to enter the Dream World."
If he lost the Dream World, he couldn't imagine how hopeless the rest of his life would be.
