With the arrival of the Elder Evils, a power that stirred greed, cruelty, hatred, jealousy, darkness, and fear in human hearts enveloped the Seven-Layer Heavenly Mountain. A shadow fell over the Heavenly Mountain, hailed as the final refuge of all goodness and order.
Above each layer of the Seven-Layer Heavenly Mountain, a black sun appeared.
This was the change brought by the Elder Evils.
Under their influence, the demons and devils that had poured out of the Bottomless Abyss and the Nine Hells went mad. They attacked without regard for anything, even death.
These creatures were the backbone of evil. The only difference between them was whether their evil was ordered or chaotic. Under the Elder Evils' influence, both descended into madness.
The angels and divine beings born of the Sevenfold Heavenly Mountain were affected too. Bloodlust and a desire for slaughter rose in their hearts, battering at emotions that had once been almost nonexistent.
As those urges took hold, the angels and divine beings began to abandon the battle formations that linked their strength together. More and more of them fought alone.
Seeing this, the God of Goodness fell silent for a moment. His Divine Kingdom expanded again, surging mist seeping upward and downward from its original layer. He tried to draw every layer except the seventh into his kingdom and use its power to bind the Elder Evils.
But as soon as the mist spread, the Dark Suns stirred.
Dark light fell upon the mist, dissolving it little by little.
The God of Goodness's Divine Kingdom began to tremble. Its labyrinth of interwoven Space-Time crumbled inch by inch, threatening to free the Hundred-Armed Giants trapped within.
"We cannot let the Hundred-Armed Giants out."
