The Demon Nation took environmental protection seriously and liked to stay close to nature. Even in the center of this top-ten city, greenery covered much of the ground. Lush trees grew everywhere, and vines climbed over elevated roads and buildings. What most distinguished this forest city from human cities at night was its lighting: lamps were few and dim, and one glance upward revealed the moon.
The waning crescent hung like a thin hook.
A young male demon was dressing up at home, getting ready to go clubbing.
After showering, the demon put on makeup, styled his hair with a blow-dryer, and sprayed it with hairspray. Then he unplugged the blow-dryer and switched to a polisher, carefully buffing the two antlers on his head before waxing them. In the mirror, they reflected a soft sheen.
The deer demon tilted his head to look and grew more pleased by the moment.
