Chen Shu chuckled twice more, then immediately changed the subject. "I brought something magical..."
Ning Qing watched him run into the house. When he came back out, he held a strange object in his hand. One end bristled with metal wires, each tipped with a black contact point the size of a grain of rice. He kept twirling it between two fingers.
"Guess what this is for?"
"First, I'm ruling out beating eggs."
"Even an idiot could tell that."
"..." Ning Qing glanced at the thing in his hand, then up at him. "Second, I'm ruling out a bicycle."
"..."
"So what is it?"
"A! Soul! Ex! Trac! Tor!" Chen Shu declared, punching out every syllable.
"How does it extract a soul?"
"Come try it." Chen Shu pulled Qingqing over and demonstrated. "Like this. Stick it onto your head, and you'll feel as if your soul has left your body."

Chen Shu placed the massager on Qingqing's head, lined it up, and pushed it down.
Ning Qing stood there calmly, her face expressionless.
Peach stood up on her hind legs and craned her neck to watch them.

Surprised, Chen Shu looked at Qingqing, lifted the Soul Extractor, and pushed it down again. Her expression still hadn't changed, so he asked:
"Why aren't you reacting at all?"
Qingqing tilted her head slightly and asked, puzzled:
