Whenever the subject turned to Earth's past, Yaoyao grew visibly melancholy. Otherwise, she would have rolled her eyes at Meng Chuan for talking so mysteriously.

She seldom spoke of it with Meng Chuan, much less Chu Feng and the others.
But what Yellow Bull and his companion had done, and the changes they had set in motion, had clearly brought something back to her.
"In the end, the only ones we could rely on were our people from the Mother Star," Yaoyao sighed.
"So many years have passed. Most of these people are Earthlings now," Meng Chuan said. "Perhaps times have changed."
He could not speak for everyone, but at least those he had chosen believed in their hearts that they were Earthlings. They would not betray Earth for outsiders.
