At that moment, Chu Feng stood some distance from the Giant City. Its walls rose impossibly high, reaching the sky and touching the sun, and radiated an ancient, vast, majestic aura.
He could not see where the city ended.
Chu Feng stood on a Green Stone road dozens of meters wide. At its far end lay the city gate.
He had approached the edge of the road and looked behind him and to either side. There was only boundless void, stars glittering so close he felt he could pluck one with an outstretched hand.
The Giant City floated in the air with nothing supporting it from below. Vast and imposing, it held the Eight Directions in check.
This was a Heavenly Road, a heavenly city. It hardly seemed part of the mortal world.
For someone born on a planet who had spent his whole life on its surface, the sight was staggering.
Fortunately, Chu Feng considered himself a man who had seen plenty.
Beyond the Green Stone road beneath his feet, other roads like it stretched out of the void in the Eight Directions, eventually joining the gates on all four sides of the Giant City.
Chu Feng could even make out figures on some of the nearer roads.
They, too, were headed for the floating Giant City.
"Are they other players taking the Evolution Game's assessment, or natives of the Lesser Netherworld?"
Chu Feng speculated about their identities, but got nowhere.
