Xiao Nannan ran across the grassland alone, chasing fawns and birds as butterflies fluttered around her. She was having a wonderful time.
Bibi Dong sat nearby, watching Xiao Nannan race back and forth in the peaceful quiet.
Many beings from the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands lived in this Small World. It served as a temporary base.
Since that battle ended, Xiao Nannan had spent most of her time with Bibi Dong, who looked after her.
Everyone felt at ease with that arrangement. Even Ruthless, far away in Zhong Yue's world, trusted Bibi Dong.

Xiao Nannan swept up a whirlwind and threw herself into Bibi Dong's arms. Her little face was flushed as she tilted her head back and gazed up at Bibi Dong with wide eyes.
"Sister Dong, are you daydreaming?"
Bibi Dong wrapped her arms around Xiao Nannan. "I've been watching you the whole time. I wasn't daydreaming."
Xiao Nannan wriggled in Bibi Dong's embrace, searching for a comfortable position. At last, she buried her face against Bibi Dong's chest.
After a while, Xiao Nannan spoke, her voice muffled.
"I wonder when Big Brother and Big Sister will come back. Nannan hasn't seen them in a very, very long time."
"Soon, soon. They'll be back any moment." Bibi Dong gently stroked Xiao Nannan's back and shoulders.
"When they come back, Nannan won't pay them any attention." Xiao Nannan sounded a little haughty.
Bibi Dong smiled. When they returned, she wondered who would be the first to rush toward them.
That little girl would probably be bawling as she ran.
Deep within Xiao Nannan, beyond Bibi Dong's ability to perceive, her power kept growing.
