The Chat Group had once said that whether it ultimately obtained the Villain Chat Group's "substance" made no difference to it. It was not essential.
But if the Villain Chat Group could not obtain something from the Chat Group, it was finished. The Chat Group's "substance" was essential to it, something it could not do without.
And the "substance" within the Villain Chat Group that could help the Chat Group perfect itself faster was the "breath" of that thread of hope left by the Great Dao.
Clearly, that sort of "breath" was something the Chat Group could take or leave. Having it would give the Chat Group more "nourishment"; not having it would change nothing.
As for the "substance" within the Chat Group that the Villain Chat Group craved, there was a great deal of it. In fact, it was basically all of it...
What the Villain Chat Group wanted was the entire Chat Group.
But the gulf between them was too vast, both in their own essential natures and in the essential natures of what they represented. So even though the Villain Chat Group had enjoyed a head start, things had still gone badly for it. It had fallen so far that it no longer dared show itself.
That head start had only been enough to give it a slight advantage early on.
And though Pangu had glimpsed some information back then, he had not learned everything.
For example, Pangu had not known how the Chaos Cycle Seed could become a true Chaos Cycle, or how important the Primordial Unity Dao was.
Pangu might have believed that the Chaos Cycle Seed's outward manifestation was its spirit, or some similar existence.
He had learned some things, but not the whole story.
Even if the Villain Chat Group's members really could
