Strength was the foundation of everything. Theirs was enough that they never had to heed anyone's whims, not even those of the Limitless Ones.

And even without the technique, both of them were Near-Limitless Beings. A Near-Limitless Being had every reason to stand firm before a Limitless One.
Nor had they shared any special bond with Pangu, such as that of master and disciple. They had simply accepted his invitation to join the Land of Ten Thousand Gods.
Though the Innate Divine Beings were classed as one race, that was only a broad designation. They had no blood ties to one another.
Apart from the way they were born, they had nothing in common.
Most of the time, they did not even identify themselves as members of the Innate Divine Being Race. Instead, they represented the Dragon Race, the Phoenix Race, the Kunpeng Race...
These more narrowly defined races were the ones that had multiplied from them as their Bloodline progenitors.
That the Ancestral Dragon and Ancestral Phoenix had twice forced out their Origin for Pangu was truly baffling.
After all, no tale had ever come down from ancient history claiming the three were as close as siblings.
Surely Great Powers as ancient as they were knew what had happened back then.
