A terrifying monster seemed to lurk behind the gate, watching Meng Chuan in turn. Their gazes met.
That "stare" went on for quite a while. For some reason, the atmosphere grew tense.
"Why are you nervous?" Meng Chuan smiled. "It's not like I'm going to force myself on you."
"I'm just here to stroll around and have a look. Don't be afraid."
Meng Chuan wore a harmless smile, but in light of what had happened before, his words were far from convincing.
"As long as you don't suddenly go mad, I won't make a move against you for now."
With that, Meng Chuan stopped paying attention to the thing behind the gate.
The Heavenly Venerable had yet to Awakening, and this world had not yet drawn close to the "apocalypse." For the Heavenly Venerable's consciousness to Awakening and return was, at present, impossible.
So for now, the Heavenly Venerable was not what Klein needed to worry about.
