Ch. 181Provocation
Uchiha Yongye’s public trial ended with four senior Konoha officials executed, while Orochimaru and Kimimaro remained in custody with a chance to atone. Shisui then confronted Itachi, who accused Yongye of forcing confessions and vowed to oppose the disaster he believed Yongye would bring.
- Yongye declared Hiruzen Sarutobi, Mitokado Homura, Utatane Koharu, and Aburame Ryoma guilty and ordered their immediate public execution.
- Wang Chao and the Security Force led the four condemned officials to the Dog-Head Guillotine, where they were executed one by one.
- Zhan Zhao lined up the four heads beside the platform as the crowd accepted that Konoha had entered Uchiha Yongye’s era.
- Shisui left the Military Police Force Building and encountered Itachi’s Crow Clone in an alley on his way to the Uchiha Clan Compound.
- Shisui defended his loyalty to Konoha and urged Itachi to surrender, but Itachi cited the Great Toad Sage’s prophecy and called Yongye a devil.
- Itachi claimed Yongye had forced him to confess to wiping out the Shimura Clan and insisted that Yongye, not he, had committed the massacre.
