Eye Power surged from Yongye's eyes and gathered into a blurry image inside Danzo's mind.
The image began to sharpen.
Danzo's one eye flew wide open.
He saw himself standing on a bridge. More than a dozen Sharingan were embedded in his right arm, each slowly turning, their crimson glow merging into one.
A boy stood opposite him.
Black hair, black eyes, and a pale-gray clan outfit with the fan-shaped clan crest embroidered on the back.
The age was wrong, but Danzo recognized him instantly: Fugaku's younger son, Sasuke Uchiha.
Sasuke held a ball of blue lightning in his right palm. It hissed and leaped in his hand, shrieking like a bird.
He had activated his Mangekyō Sharingan. Six-pointed stars turned slowly in his pupils.
The two clashed!
Danzo saw black flames bloom from Sasuke's Mangekyō Sharingan and set his body alight. They burned across his skin, and nothing he did could put them out.
He saw himself activate Izanagi, turning his death into a dream before reappearing behind Sasuke.
Then he stabbed Susanoo with a Kunai—and was crushed to death!
He activated Izanagi again.
And again.
And again.
One by one, the Sharingan on his arm closed.
He saw himself take one of Sasuke's companions hostage. Sasuke charged forward, and his Lightning Blade pierced both Danzo's chest and the hostage's.
He saw the Reverse Four Symbols Seal erupt from his chest. Black ink gushed from his body as he tried to seal Sasuke along with him.
In the end, all he sealed was... a bridge!
The image froze, then dissolved.
The cell fell dim again. The oil lamp's flame flickered against the wall, stretching and shrinking Danzo's shadow across the Stone Wall.
