It was a demon blade, long and slender, its edge glowing with a soft white light as though drawn straight from the moon.
It held no killing intent, no sharp menace. Instead, it radiated a gentle, almost merciful peace, like the first breeze of spring.
Tessaiga came from the Inuyasha World. It could slay the demons that bound souls and bring the dead back to life.
Yongye sensed the strange power seeping from the blade, and his thoughts paused for an instant in his mindscape.
Could this blade cut down the death god summoned by the Reaper Death Seal?
"I'll try it when I kill that bastard someday."
He muttered to himself, then looked toward the Fourth Kazekage.
Fourth Kazekage Rasa lay flat on a hastily raised stone platform. The mark on the side of his neck, where the knife-hand strike had landed, had turned dark purple. His breathing was steady, and his eyes were closed.
Yongye walked up to the platform and patted Rasa's shoulder. A pulse of energy jolted his sleeping consciousness awake.
Rasa's eyes flew open. His pupils went from unfocused to alert in an instant. His body sprang half an inch off the platform, only to be pressed back down by an invisible force.
Yongye's Scarlet Sharingan!
Rasa averted his gaze from the Sharingan and quickly scanned the porcelain-white walls and the strange, unfamiliar equipment around him.
What are those things? Don't tell me they're torture devices.
Rasa groaned inwardly. So wronged he could almost cry, he roared in Rage, helplessness written all over his face:
"It really wasn't me! I've been framed!"
"With someone as powerful as you in Konoha, how would I dare provoke you?"
"Someone else set me up on purpose!"
Like Chiyo before him, Rasa had recognized Uchiha Yongye at a glance.
