Before the last syllable had faded, Loki moved faster than his own voice, rushing straight at Yongye.

The Mind Scepter thrust toward Yongye's chest, wreathed in a faint blue glow.

Yongye shifted half a step sideways. The scepter's tip skimmed the edge of his breastplate, leaving a shallow scratch on the silver-gray nanosurface that the nan particles instantly smoothed away.

The next instant, Yongye went on the offensive!

His right hand shot out and seized Loki's wrist. He pulled Loki close, caught his ankle with his left hand, and swung the second prince of Asgard around like a fish hauled from the water.

For the final blow, Yongye let go. Loki fell from midair and struck the roof on his back. He bounced once, slid another half meter, and lay sprawled like a dried fish.

Golden blood streaked the corner of his mouth. His eyes remained half-open, his pupils still moving, but all he could manage was a garbled rasp. He could not even force out a complete curse.

Yongye looked down at him
