Silver-gray Nanoparticles rippled where fist met palm, spreading the force of a blow powerful enough to crush an armored vehicle across the plates on his arm. It then flowed along the channels in his shoulder armor toward his back before the nano-cushioning beneath his feet absorbed it.
Even his chair did not move an inch.
Faora's pupils contracted!
She had learned how strong he was from the intelligence gathered around the world. That was why she had agreed to come and talk.
But she had never imagined he was this strong!
Before the force of her first punch had dissipated, she drove her left fist forward. It was faster than the first, with a faint golden glow around her knuckles and a thrusting effect unique to Kryptonian heat vision, aimed straight at Yongye's ribs.
Yongye turned his left wrist, palm outward, and flicked her fist aside as though swatting a fly. The punch, packed with tremendous force, veered off course and slid past the curve of his armor. The wind from it exploded through the air behind him.
Faora's third punch targeted Yongye's chest, her fourth swept toward his waist, and her fifth hammered down at his shoulder joint. Each strike was faster and heavier than the last.
Yet Yongye still used only one hand.
The Nanotech Armor around the fingers of his left hand seemed to come alive. At times he clenched his fist to block; at others he opened his palm to bleed off the force, or pressed his fingers together like a blade to knock Faora's fist aside.
Every movement was so precise it seemed scripted in advance, meeting the weak point of Faora's attack and neutralizing the greatest impact with the least effort.
