"You're not authorized to know." Yongye tossed a segment of orange into his mouth and chewed leisurely. "You're just a team member. I'm the captain. The captain decides how information is classified."
Diana's jaw tightened for an instant.
She rose from the armchair and walked over to Yongye, stopping less than half a step away. The skirt of her golden armor hung in front of his knees, the Lasso of Truth swayed slightly at her waist, and her long legs nearly brushed his calves.
She bent down, bracing her right hand on the sofa's back and her left on its armrest, trapping Yongye between the sofa and her body.
Her dark hair slipped off her shoulders, its ends brushing his shoulder. A faint scent of sea breeze mingled with some unknown wildflower drifted from her neck and collarbones, crisp and bracing.
"Mr. President." Her voice was low, its final note rising slightly, while a deliberately tender light shimmered in her pale blue eyes.
"We're all on the same team. Shouldn't we share what we have?"
