Hades opened his mouth and raised a hand futilely, but all Karras left him was the resolute sight of his departing back.
He did not even spare Mortarion's "coffin" a glance.
Hades withdrew his gaze and looked at his gauntlet. Karras had personally handed him the key to open the prison cells on the lowest level of The Indomitable. As for what was imprisoned down there... that went without saying.
Mortarion had just briefly spoken with Hades about the Eldar. The Eldar had long since splintered apart. The Death Guard had once absorbed some Exodite Eldar, along with Craftworld Eldar and Harlequins—
But later, the Harlequins had vanished without a trace, until they once again tried to forcibly summon Mortarion.
Just like that abrupt attempt ten thousand years ago, the Reaper Host led by Yvraine had proposed cooperation: break into the Garden and rescue Isha. Afterward, with Isha and Xi Gaoqi's help, the Eldar would fully assist Death in killing Slaanesh.
Unsurprisingly, Mortarion had been stabbed in the back. In the end, the Death Guard imprisoned Isha and slaughtered most of the Eldar.
According to Mortarion... Xi Gaoqi's side seemed to have run into some trouble as well. At the very least, the Reaper Host was not in good shape now.
The Reaper Host's defeat within the Garden also meant that there was currently no force among the Eldar capable of unifying their race. Those pointy-eared bastards were nothing more than a scattered rabble.
Hades glanced sideways at Mortarion's "bed," called over the Deathshrouds, and decided to move Mortarion somewhere more comfortable.

Hades also decided to take a look at the prison holding the Eldar and reinforce it while he was at it.
Hades pondered. Besides the white bean sprouts—Craftworld Eldar—the flowery bean sprouts—Harlequin troupes—and
