Barbarus
Hades pushed open the door, dusty and travel-worn.
He looked up and saw Magnus and Mortarion deep in conversation, Magnus visibly agitated, while Ahriman, who seemed drunk, clung to Karras and wept. The Thousand Son and Karras looked like a pair of middle-aged men defeated by life.
"..."
Hades silently closed the door.
He paused for a second, then pushed it open again.
Mortarion and Magnus both stopped and turned silently toward Hades. Karras was flipping Hades off.
?
Where had Karras learned that?
Hades coughed twice. Since he knew a little about shaping metal, his armor now looked brand-new—there was no sign that he had just gone through a brutal battle.
It had not really been a brutal battle. He had simply been enraged by Trazyn's clumsy performance, watching Trazyn use a fully geared build to somehow fight Zandrekh, who had just stepped out with starter equipment, to a draw.
"I brought another Magnus over. He's in an extradimensional space."
Bang!
Magnus sprang to her feet. The Primarch's enormous frame instantly made the entire room feel cramped.
She—what path did that Magnus follow?!
Magnus grew tense, the hair at her temples fluttering.
"I didn't speak with him in depth. For now, I'd classify him as..."
Hades pondered for a moment.
"Neutral good? Neutral evil?"
"It doesn't matter,"
Hades said.
"The decision is yours. I'm only labor."
He did not know much about Psychic Power research. What would result from the fusion of two Magnus fragments... these Psykers would understand it better than he did.
A faint laugh came from Mortarion's direction.
You underestimate yourself.
The Primarch said.
You could pull The Emperor from that chair and sit on it yourself... or I could.
"Your thoughts are a little too dangerous."
Hades replied casually, though he completely understood Mortarion.
