Hades snapped his fingers (even though nothing could be heard in the vacuum), and silver liquid instantly pierced the enemies surrounding Garo like bullets. Garo paused in blank astonishment, then whipped his head around to look at Hades.

"Where are you heading next?"

Hades asked, watching the golden flames on Garo's body grow increasingly brilliant—the old man was about to recall the Legion of the Damned.

"Back."

Garo said. Amid the golden flames, as if remembering something, he chuckled.

"You've returned... Leaving wasn't necessarily a bad thing, either. The current Pale Lord is far more mature than he was back then... He's suffered quite a bit over these ten thousand years, all self-inflicted."

"How have you been?"

Hades hurriedly asked again, but Garo only shook his head.

"What's it like for a dead man...? Yet heaven is real, and it is what I asked for—tell Vokes to let the kid do his job properly and stop writing his little diary all by himself."

Garo chuckled to himself again, the golden flames already blurring his features.
